The UN Commission of Inquiry found that Israeli forces deliberately targeted Palestinian children in Gaza resulting in genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes. At least 20,179 children were killed between October 2023 and October 2025, representing approximately 30% of all fatalities. The report documents torture in detention, sexual violence, destruction of education and healthcare, and starvation as deliberate strategies. The Commission concludes that targeting children was a deliberate strategy to destroy the demographic vitality of the Palestinian people.
